Tonya holds a BS in Middle Grades Education from the University of North Georgia and has lived in the Charlotte area since 1997. She and her husband have two sons; their oldest, Will, has Degenerative Myopia, Verbal Apraxia, and Autism Spectrum Disorder. As a longtime caregiver and advocate for both her son and her legally blind husband, Tonya deeply believes that every person is capable with the right support. As Cafe Lead, she oversees operations at the Cakeable Cafe and is passionate about helping each intern grow and reach their potential.
